Arnados

The settlement of Arnados, one of the most traditional villages on Tinos, is located 8 kms to the north of Chora, close to the Holy Monastery of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary high up on Mount Kechrovouni. With an unrestricted and spectacular view towards the Aegean archipelago and the Cyclades—from Mykonos all the way to Syros—the village has quite possibly the largest number of arcades and arches of all the villages on Tinos. Often, particularly in winter, Arnados is covered by clouds that literally cloak the village in an otherworldly and totally entrancing atmosphere.
