Tarambados
The history of Tarambados begins in the
17th
century. It is located on the banks of a stream, protected
from the winds, an ideal spot for the building and usage of
dovecotes. In Tarambados you will find a truly unique
cluster of elaborately fashioned old pigeon-houses that
stand out not only for their huge size but also for their
ornate designs and great beauty. Today, many of these have
been restored and comprise both historically and culturally
real masterpieces of traditional architecture.
